Church Records of Kuettigen and Biberstein in the Kirchberg Parish

It is said that all of the records from the church books of Kuettigen and Biberstein have been microfilmed.

This microfilm is in the Aargau State Archives and they allowed Dean and I to copy the records of our family.

We also located the books that would tell us other records that they may have.  According to the book, there ARE other records but they were not microfilmed.

We then went to the town archive, where we located the original books that were microfilmed, but they do not have access to the records that were not microfilmed.  No one seems to know where they are or what happened to them.

This church is located on the hill between Kuettigen and Biberstein in Aargau Canton.  It was made reference to in 1036 but a new building was built about 1500.  It has been updated a few times since.

This view is of Kuettigen.  It is on the left and Kirchberg is at the bottom with the church almost to the inset.  The road travels along the river.  Biberstein is off the view to the right.
